Once Injured Always Injured

Bold statement, I know, but I say it with love. I still look at myself as an injured mover, and I always will.

As an injured mover, I can feel pain and stiffness in all areas of my body but instead of running around from one therapy session to the next, I turn to AgeDEFY as my medicine.

Here is what I do as an injured mover:

When I have pain in my hips from cycling too much, I cut back on cycling and focus more on MobilityFLOW and BarreFLOW.

When I hurt my knee shuffle dancing, I quit dancing for 3-weeks to focus on foot therapy, lymphatic health, and QiFLOW workouts.

When my knee started to feel better, I started dancing again and 3 months later I am still dancing with no knee pain!

My knee pain may be gone but my knee will always be injured, and that is okay.

When it hurts again in the future, I will be okay because I know that once injured, I’m always injured, and with that knowledge comes power.

When I hurt myself, I don't freak out like I used to. I allow myself to be hurt, and I adjust my workouts accordingly.

Movement is medicine but only when taken in the correct dosage.

If you love to cycle, but your knee hurts, stop cycling but don't stop working out.

This is why it's so important to diversify your movement portfolio.

If you love to cycle, and you depend on it for your physical and mental well-being, what are you supposed to do if your cycle classes start to hurt your knee?

You have two choices .... Stop working out or change up the way you work out.

This is why I suggest for everyone to AgeDEFY.

Don't settle for one workout when you can learn 10 different kinds of AgeDEFY workouts at Studio BodyAbility!

Once injured, always injured.

I don't believe you should stop working out as an injured mover. I think you should try new movement workouts and move more every day.

Love, Dawnelle
